Leeds United had an official at the match between Portugal and Serbia on Monday evening, report O Jogo in their Tuesday edition.
The Portuguese newspaper say that ‘half of Europe attacks’, meaning there’s lots of clubs looking at potential recruits ahead of the summer transfer market.
Half of Europe is something of an exaggeration, there were a few other clubs also in attendance, including European giants such as Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
Unsurprisingly, there’s no indication of who the Leeds United ‘spies’ have their eye on, although it’s safe to say it’s not Cristiano Ronaldo.
The match ended 1-1, with goals from Dusan Tadic and Danilo, both of those can probably be crossed off the maybe list too.
All of the Portuguese side look out of Leeds’ reach, perhaps with the exception of 29 year old Braga striker Dyego Sousa.
Looking at the teams and deciding the obvious link from Leeds’ trip, Aleksandar Mitrović is a story which could potentially build, without a great deal of weight at this point.
Fulham look doomed and the striker may be eyeing a way out, with the Cottagers potentially keen to shed his wages too.
