Leeds United’s chase for Fiorentina midfielder Erick Pulgar is a story which was widely covered this month, but seems to be going nowhere now.
The Italian media has now been turning down the move for different reasons. Earlier today, we already covered a piece from La Nazione which said the Whites’ offer is not good enough to get him.
Now in a version from Tutto Mercato Web, they say Leeds United have gone ‘cold’.
The website reports that Marcelo Bielsa’s side have ‘no plans’ for such an investment in the January transfer window. They point out, however, that things could be different in the summer.
Even though Cagliari and Sassuolo are both interested in the signing, Tutto Mercato Web considers the transfer to be complicated, with Fiorentina demanding €10m for the Chilean international.
So with such little time to get the operation done in January, it’s starting to look like Pulgar will end up staying at La Viola, giving Leeds United a new chance to go get him in a few months.
