On Wednesday, we covered claims made by Foot Mercato that Leeds United are ‘close to an agreement’ to sign Watford’s Ismaïla Sarr this summer.

It was also stated the Whites’ negotiations with the Hornets player are ‘close to being finalised’.

Foot Mercato’s claim regarding the Watford winger is backed up by TuttoMercatoWeb as they explain Sarr is edging closer towards joining Leeds.

Apart from the Senegal international, Jesse Marsch’s side have his club teammate, João Pedro, on their agenda.

It’s said Leeds are ‘one step away from closing a double blow from Watford’ for Sarr and the Brazilian forward.

The Premier League side have courted the ex-Rennes man for a while and he would come to Elland Road through a direct purchase for just under €30m.

Pedro, on the other hand, would arrive on loan. TMW don’t mention whether Watford will include an option or obligation to buy for the South American.

Leeds are ‘near a double hit from Watford’ as both Sarr and Pedro are ‘one step away’ from Marsch’s side.
