Rafa Mujica’s move from Leeds United to Las Palmas will be finalised in the coming hours, with the player having ‘given his word’ to join the club.

That’s according to Radio Marca Lanzarote, who say the striker will join the Spanish side as soon as the situation around Pietro Iemmello’s situation has been resolved.

Mujica is currently on loan at Real Oviedo but has endured a difficult first half of the season with the club since arriving in the summer.

He has been widely linked with a move away this month, with it believed he would be returning to Leeds and then heading somewhere else to get regular game-time.

Las Palmas have been named as suitors, and earlier today it was reported that he was ‘already packing his bags’ ahead of the move, which should be finalised today.

Radio Marca Lanzarote now pick up on that and say there is a ‘total agreement’ between all three clubs, Leeds, Oviedo and Las Palmas, for him to make the move.

Mujica has ‘given his word’ to the latter that he will be joining them and, after several weeks of negotiations, that deal will be finalised in the next few hours.

Las Palmas plan to announce the deal when Iemmello’s situation is dealt with as he negotiates a departure from the club.
