Leeds United look to set to miss out on KV Oostende midfielder Andile Jali after reports he will be remaining with the Belgian side at least until the next window. The South Africa international was linked with a move to the Championship side this month.
Voetbal Nieuws have revealed Jali is unlikely to leave before tomorrow’s transfer deadline despite wanting to leave the club. The South African has just returned from injury, but isn’t in the long term plans of KV Oostende coach Yves Vanderhaeghe.
None of the interested clubs were prepared to meet the player’s valuation of €1.5m, and unless he can force himself back into the team he will have to wait until January to finally get a move.
Earlier this month we reported Leeds United were monitoring the situation with Jali after his agent said the player wanted to make the next step in his career. Jali had a desire to leave the Jupiler league side this summer, the club’s leaders also thought it would be best to let the player go.
The Yorkshire club were said to be ‘particularly’ interested in signing Jali, but there were claims they need to sell players first after bringing in 11 during this window.
