There are claims in the Belgian media that NEC star Anthony Limbombe is on the verge of leaving the Dutch side, and could be hit with a huge fine. The Leeds United linked attacker walked out of training on Friday, and subsequently could face harsh discipline from NEC.
HLN have confirmed in the past hour Limbombe could be fined 10% of his annual wage by his club, which could equate up to €20k given the youngster earns around €200k a season in Holland.
The Belgian attacker has a desire to leave NEC this summer, and has already put in a transfer request to leave in this transfer window.
Yesterday Limbombe wasn’t included in the squad to take on German side Hannover 96, and the fans of NEC unhappy about the player’s actions on Friday showed their disapproval during the game. The footballer also wasn’t present for NEC training on Monday.
Leeds United now look well positioned to sign Limbombe after claims Club Brugge are unsure about the valuation of the 21-year-old. The NEC star has been valued at around €3m, but the Belgian side are unwilling to pay more than €2m.
