Leeds United allowed Rasmus Kristensen to join Eintracht Frankfurt on a loan deal in the summer window, after his temporary spell at AS Roma last season.

The right-back has made five appearances this season and played the full 90 minutes in all of them.

Fussball News claim the Leeds man has had an ‘absolutely successful’ start to his spell at Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Bundesliga side secured a 2-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach at the weekend.

The report states the 27-year-old ‘coached’ Ansgar Knauff [who started on the right wing] and ‘motivated’ Jean-Mattéo Bahoya and Igor Matanovic, who came off the bench. He was also seen celebrating with fans after the tie. Taking all this into account, it’s claimed the Dane ‘goes beyond the limits’.

The German club have an option to buy the Leeds man for €13m. Eintracht Frankfurt manager Dino Toppmöller has insisted sporting director Markus Krösche is working on the possibility of retaining him.

“Markus Krösche has already recognised that. He’s already working on it and doesn’t need my expertise. He also sees that Rasmus is a very important factor for us. Despite stomach problems, he has fought through and played very solidly. With his energy and power, Rasmus is very important to us,” he said.

The Denmark international’s deal at Leeds United lasts until 2026. Fussball News claim Eintracht Frankfurt want to use this to negotiate a lower fee with the Whites.

The German club are keen to retain the player beyond this season. Daniel Farke’s side will have the final word on whether they want to sell Kristensen for less than €13m.
