Leeds United continue their work in the transfer market, as they look to back Marcelo Bielsa ahead of the season beginning.
Promoted to the Premier league after winning the Championship, the Whites are determined to secure their position in England’s top flight, and that means raiding the transfer budget.
Signing Rodrigo Moreno from a cash-strapped Valencia has been the highlight of Leeds’ summer so far, and they’re certainly not finished in the market yet.
Gianluca Di Marzio, who was the journalist to reveal interest from Elland Road in Rodrigo, reports the club have made a new offer for Josko Gvardiol. RB Leipzig have also been keen on the defender, but backed away when their €15m offer wasn’t deemed high enough.
According to Di Marzio, Dinamo Zagreb are looking for €25m, and that hasn’t put Leeds off.
‘In the last few hours’, the Yorkshire club have formulated a new offer, which stands at €22m plus 20% of a future sale.
