Leeds United are the ‘main candidates’ to sign Crysencio Summerville, report Voetbal International on Friday.

The 18-year-old currently plays for Feyenoord as a winger, and came through the youth ranks with the Dutch club. He has a contract lasting until June 2021, so shouldn’t be too expensive for the newly promoted Premier League side.

Last season he made 21 appearances in the Eredivisie, whilst on loan at ADO Den Haag, scoring twice and adding three assists.

Voetbal International say Wolves, Rangers and Red Bull Salzburg have all been following the player, but it looks like Leeds have taken a step ahead of them. Feyenoord are said to have no choice but to sell Summerville, given his frustrations over expected regular playing time.

That his contract has less than a year to go will also play a part.

Dutch newspaper AD back up the claims, reporting Leeds United are in negotiations for the deal, want it done as soon as possible, and hope to reach an agreement with Feyenoord this weekend.
