AS Roma lost 2-1 to Napoli on Sunday in a match which was seen as a huge boost to the latter’s chances of winning the title. The celebrations afterwards showed the confidence there is in Naples that they’ll get their hands back on the Serie A trophy.
As for Roma, they’re 6th in the league and in a tussle for the European places. Jose Mourinho will want to secure that, and to help with the quest it looks like he’s signing a player from Leeds United.
Calciomercato report Roma have secured themselves a ‘surprise’ signing. The man in question is Diego Llorente, with the Spaniard said to be moving on an ‘expensive’ loan deal, which will have a reasonable purchase clause of €10m.
The exact cost of the loan until the summer isn’t mentioned.
Llorente could now arrive in Roma on Monday evening to complete a medical and go through the formalities of the transfer.
The 28-year-old has a contract with Leeds United which runs until 2027.
