Leeds United are keen on Borussia Mönchengladbach right winger Franck Honorat, despite injury problems this season.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that Leeds are interested in the player despite an injury hit season limiting his time on the pitch.

They explain that despite only making 16 appearances for Gladbach this season, Honorat has managed to be one of, if not the best players on the German team.

He has four goals and nine assists to his name despite limited time on the pitch, earning man of the match in his last two appearances as well, where he scored and provided an assist.

Indeed, he has four appearances in his last four games and that’s enough to ‘arouse covetousness’ despite a contract running until 2028.

Freiburg are keen but Leeds United, recently promoted to the Premier League and ready to bolster their squad in the summer, are also keen. Nice are also in the mix and could decide to go on the offensive in the summer transfer window.

Leeds could have competition, then, if they decide to move themselves, having seemingly been impressed by Honorat’s numbers.
