It’s been at least a month since we started covering reports from Italy claiming that Leeds United were interested in Erick Pulgar from Fiorentina.

With the midfielder not getting a lot of playing time at La Viola, the Whites were one of the clubs who were pointed out as competitors for his signing in the January transfer window.

At the start of the week, it was even claimed that Marcelo Bielsa’s side were ready to put as much as €25m on the table for the Chilean player.

However, the latest updates from the Italian media now says that Leeds United’s interest in Pulgar has gone cold.

Tutto Mercato Web reports the Whites have lost interest in the signing ‘in the past few hours’, at least regarding a January signing.

Something similar goes to Rodrigo De Paul. The website claims it’s unlikely that Leeds United’s board would move for his transfer in January, so the operation could only happen in the summer, unless the Udinese player finds a new club in these last days of the transfer window.
