According to claims in the Italian media, Atalanta are keen on signing Ezgjan Alioski this summer. The Macedonian international has been linked with Leeds United in recent days, with reports of the Championship club holding talks with Lugano.

TMW have reported Atalanta are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season, and they currently have two ‘hot’ targets. It’s been reported Lugano’s attacker Alioski, along with Genk’s Sander Berge are prime targets for the Serie A side.

Atalanta have qualified for European football for the first time in decades, and they’ve already redeemed Etrit Berisha from Lazio in recent days.

On Wednesday, we covered claims from Switzerland that Leeds United have held talks with Lugano’s president Angelo Renzetti with regards to signing Alioski.

It was suggested Leeds United were close to getting a deal done for the 25-year-old, but Atalanta may have other ideas. Alioski impressed for Lugano last season, scoring 17 goals and providing 14 assists for the Swiss club.
