Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has revealed he wants to help Leeds United get back into the Premier League. The Sweden international is currently on loan with the Championship club until the end of the season.
TMW have reported on comments Jansson made in the lead up to Sweden’s clash with Holland tonight in Stockholm. The defender believes Leeds United need to be in the top flight of English football as soon as possible, and he hopes he can help them achieve this.
Jansson said he’s an aggressive player who will always give it his all, and hopes he can play regularly for Leeds United.
“I want to return Leeds to the Premier League as soon as possible. I’m an aggressive defender, who always gives one hundred percent. I’m here to play regularly for the club,” said the Swede.
Jansson signed for Leeds United on loan in the last window after becoming surplus to requirements at Serie A side Torino. The player will initially have a loan spell with the club, and Leeds United then have an option to make the deal permanent next summer.
