Leeds United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of NEC star Anthony Limbombe following reports in Holland the Dutch club have signed his replacement. The Belgian youngster is expected to leave NEC this summer, and has been linked with clubs including Leeds United.

Voetbal International have revealed Reagy Baah Ofusu has signed for NEC on a two-year contract from German side SV Grodig.

NEC in the past few weeks have been trying to find a replacement for Limbombe after he handed in a transfer request, but recently missed out on targets. The 24-year-old can play on both wings, and it’s now been claimed Limbombe’s exit is imminent.

Leeds United tried to sign Limbombe last summer when they tabled a bid for the 21-year-old, but were unsuccessful. However, the Championship side have kept an interest in the youngster, and a €3m offer is likely to land them the player.

Leeds United will face competition from other clubs, including Liile, who also have a long standing interest, and more recently Club Brugge.
