Leeds United have been given a boost in their pursuit of Ternana forward Felipe Avenatti following claims the Serie B club are lining up a possible replacement for the 23-year-old. Avenatti has been linked with a move to Leeds United after they made an approach for the Uruguayan in the summer.
Avenatti only has six months left on his current contract with Ternana, and the Italian side are concerned they could risk losing him on a free transfer in the summer. If they can bring in Ebagua it would enable them to get some kind of transfer fee for Avenatti.
Avenatti has been linked with Leeds United in the past 18 months with claims in the summer the Championship club were again interested in the player. With Garry Monk’s lack of options in attack the South American could be an option in this window.
Leeds United have also been linked with fellow Serie B forward Massimo Coda in recent months
