Nantes forward Yacine Bammou has ruled out leaving the Ligue 1 side despite reports he was surplus to requirements at the club. The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Leeds United and Aston Villa throughout this transfer window.
Tribune Nantaise have reported on comments Bammou this week made when asked about whether he would be leaving before the deadline. The Morocco international said he’s heard nothing about leaving Nantes, and confirmed he wants to remain with the French club.
“Nothing, nothing, I want to stay at the club. I feel good. There is still time, but I do not see myself leaving,” said the player on his future.
Leeds United and Aston Villa are two clubs who have been showing an interest in Bammou this summer, with claims Nantes were prepared to listen to offers for the player. The forward was also linked with Turkish giants Besiktas in recent weeks.
