As Leeds United continue being linked to Ajax fullback Nicolas Tagliafico, we see this interest being pushed harder by the most recent reports on this chase.
It started with claims from the Dutch media naming the Whites as one of the clubs who could take him away from the Eredivisie, and then the Italian press said Marcelo Bielsa’s side had ‘set their sights’ on the player.
Now it’s newspaper Corriere Dello Sport who backs up the story, adding an interesting update to it.
They first say that Tagliafico asked Ajax to let him go from the club. And one of the sides who looked for information on a potential transfer is Leeds United.
Ajax are said to be demanding €15m for the transfer, and Tagliafico has a ‘low salary’.
That’s certainly good news for the Elland Road club, but they should be aware of the competition for the signing, since the likes of Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Manchester City are keen on the player as well.
Corriere Dello Sport says there are few left-backs in the European market, and that’s why it’s going to be quite a battle to get any player for the position.
