The German media today covers Leeds United interest in RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams.
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg says he’s had it ‘confirmed’ that the player is currently on the Whites’ shortlist.
The Elland Road side are said to be ‘considering the situation’ of the 23-year-old. And the good news for them is that despite selling other players this window, RB Leipzig want to find a deal for Adams as well.
It’s just not said how much the Bundesliga side will demand for the midfielder, and he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €17m.
A few months ago, it was Arsenal who were said to be interested in Adams. At that time, the German media claimed that to take him out away from RB Leipzig, the Gunners would need to trigger the player’s release clause, which stands at €40m.
Now since Sky Germany’s update claims the Bundesliga side are keen on selling him, perhaps Leeds United can negotiate and find a more interesting deal, especially because his market value dropped in the past few months.
In the short time Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch was in charge of RB Leipzig, Adams was getting regular starts in the team, and their relationship certainly plays a big part in this potential move.
