IFK Norrkoping defender Linus Wahlqvist has told the Swedish media he doesn’t expect to move in this transfer window. The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Leeds United in the past week, following their attempts to sign him in the summer.
Speaking to NT.se, Wahlqvist was asked if there has been any concrete interest from other clubs, and whether these are his last days at Norrkoping.
The Sweden international revealed he’s not heard much during this window about a transfer, despite claims of Leeds United interest. The youngster said his agent deals with such matters, but he expects to be with the Swedish side for the foreseeable future.
“Not much at all. I have people who work on those things, and then I play football. You’re trying to get a lot out of me, ha ha. No, I think I have many days left at Norrkoping,” said the Swede.
Only this week Wahlqvist said he would entertain playing in the Championship after being asked about the interest from Leeds United.
The Championship side were linked with a move for Wahlqvist in November, with claims they were lining up an offer for the player in this window.
