When we last left the story involving Leeds and a potential transfer for Arnaud Kalimuendo, it was said the Premier League club were pushing to get a deal over the line.
The Elland Road side want a new striker to give Jesse Marsch a competitive squad for next season, and the Paris Saint-Germain youngster appears to have been made a priority.
A package deal of around €25m or so was said to be in the works, with Kalimuendo still needing some convincing, but there appeared to be some optimism.
Newcastle were also reported as being in the mix, and now Media Foot in France add that OGC Nice are the latest to join the race, having asked for information.
Leeds are mentioned as one of the interested parties in the article, but it’s then added that the young striker ‘isn’t certain to leave’.
That’s because Christophe Galtier ‘has been impressed by his performances during preseason and would like to wait before making a decision’.
Above him, however, Luis Campos ‘would like to sell him for more than €20m’ as they look to trim down the squad, especially with Hugo Ekitike arriving on loan with an option to buy from Stade de Reims.
Just extra bits of information that need to be kept in mind as Leeds continue to navigate the tricky waters of the summer transfer window.
