Raphinha is set to miss Leeds United’s tour of Australia later this month as he continues to push for a move away from Elland Road.
That’s according to Sport, who say the Brazilian is planning on missing the pre-season engagement with his team.
We covered a report from Brazil last night that stated the forward could go to Australia with Leeds and that a stay at the club was not out of the question, despite him being determined to join Barcelona.
The Spanish press, though, say otherwise, insisting that Raphinha will not go on the pre-season tour down under, which starts on the 10th of this month.
Instead, he is set to return from his holiday’s two days later and train in England while awaiting a decision on his future.
While his teammates are in Australia, he will head to Leeds to train alone and prepare for the new campaign, hoping that his future will be sorted before the rest of the squad return to England at the end of the month.
However, it is currently unlikely he will be joining Barcelona before their own pre-season tour of the United States.
The Catalan club remain confident they can sign him, regardless of what Ousmane Dembele decides to do now he’s a free agent.
At the moment, Raphinha is only thinking of a move to the Nou Camp, but Chelsea’s efforts are making it difficult as their proposal is more attractive than the one being offered by Barcelona.
