Leeds forward Rodrigo Moreno is ‘facing his toughest’ time at the club since he arrived following Marcelo Bielsa’s departure from the club.
That’s according to Las Provincias, who say the Argentine boss was ‘one of the main reasons’ Rodrigo made the move to Elland Road in the first place.
Bielsa was sacked as Leeds boss on Sunday following the 4-0 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday, the latest in a series of poor results that has left the club just two points outside of the relegation zone.
Performances have gotten progressively worse over the last month, with a 3-0 defeat to Everton followed by a 4-2 loss to Manchester United, a 6-0 loss to Liverpool and then the defeat to Spurs.
Whether the decision to remove Bielsa is a good choice remains to be seen, but there will certainly be an impact on a squad which has completely bought into him over the last four years.
Rodrigo is one of them, and Las Provincias say the forward is ‘facing his toughest time at Leeds’ following Bielsa’s departure.
According to them, Bielsa was ‘one of his main supporters’ at the club, and his departure means the Spaniard will seemingly have to win people over all over again.
The first on his list will likely be Jesse Marsch, who is widely expected to replace Bielsa at Elland Road sooner rather than later.
