With Leeds United currently fighting against relegation in the Premier League, a few clubs are keeping a close eye on the situation at Elland Road.
Javi Gracia has been brought in to try and avoid the drop, and while performances might have been encouraging, results are still hard to come by.
Should Leeds fail to stay up, then some sort of exodus could take place, with some valuable assets wanting to play in a top league somewhere else.
One of those could be Junior Firpo, who has played for the likes of Real Betis and Barcelona in the past, with Inter Milan attentive to his situation.
That’s according to Inter Live, who state the left-back ‘could answer the Nerazzurri call after relegation to the Championship’.
It’s recalled the Dominican Republic international was already on the Serie A club’s radar in the past, and they believe ‘his potential still remains untapped’.
Not only that, but the player allegedly ‘wants to return to play for a club that can allow him to be a part of important European scenarios’, which Inter could offer him.
Furthermore, the belief is he wouldn’t cost that much, with a fee ‘close to €10m’ said to be enough to entice Leeds into selling.
First, however, Inter will have ‘to deal with the exit of Robin Gosens’, and if that doesn’t happen, Firpo wouldn’t be given many minutes, since Federico Dimarco is also a Simone Inzaghi favourite in his position.
