Ronaldo Vieira to Sampdoria was expected to have been made official by now.

Claims started in Italy on Sunday evening and Monday saw a raft of reports that Leeds United had agreed to sell the player for €7m or €5m plus bonuses, depending on which report should be believed.

Monday evening saw the Leeds player arrive in Italy at Genoa’s Cristoforo Colombo airport, and from there he was set to have a medical and sign the relevant paperwork.

Both SampNews24 and SampdoriaNews report the player left Italy quickly and was seen at Farnborough airport. From there he’s joined the rest of his new teammates at a hotel in Bagshot.

It’s claimed this news slipped out because Sampdoria pictured Vieira on their social media, something which appears to have been deleted.

The player isn’t included in the latest official Sampdoria travelling squad list because the Leeds United transfer hasn’t been made official yet.
