Following the news that Leeds United’s Robin Koch had decided to go to Eintracht Frankfurt over Bayer Leverkusen, the final details have been sorted.

This comes courtesy of Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, who took to Twitter to bring the latest on the German defender’s situation.

He claims that there are now ‘no doubts’ the centre-back will be moving to Frankfurt in the next few days, and the deal will be a one-year loan.

That’s despite the player’s contract at Leeds running until 2024, meaning that he will be available on a free at the end of his temporary spell, at least as things stand.

Koch, down his end, is ‘ready to fly’ back to his home country, and the medicals could take place in the ‘next 48 hours’.

While Bayer Leverkusen were targeting the Leeds star to potentially replace one of their departing stars, Plettenberg reveals that Markus Krösche, Eintracht’s sporting director, was ‘crucial’ in getting the player to choose his club over the national competition.

Koch will leave Elland Road after making 77 appearances in all competitions for the club, 73 of which came in the Premier League.
