Despite what appears to be a turn in performances, Leeds United continue to struggle towards the bottom of the Premier League as results aren’t following.

This has led to fans calling for the sacking of Jesse Marsch, despite the Elland Road side continuing to spend money to give him the players he wants, such as the recent acquisition of Georginio Rutter.

The 20-year-old was signed from Hoffenheim for a club record deal of €36m, but now we are seeing reports that Leeds are thinking about sacking the American manager.

This comes from France, where Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna took to Twitter to reveal the news.

He says that according to his information, those in charge at Leeds are ‘thinking about replacing’ Marsch, and while ‘nothing has been acted’, the Elland Road sides ‘have already established a shortlist of several names’.

Who those managers are isn’t said, but it’s clear that, if true, the Premier League side’s board are close to having enough with the current situation on the pitch.

After 18 games, Leeds are currently 14th in the table, two points above the relegation zone, albeit with a game in hand on those around them.
