Leeds United and Newcastle United are seen as ‘solutions’ for striker Michy Batshuayi as Chelsea look to sell him before the end of the transfer window.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who says a potential move to Everton has now fallen by the wayside.
Batshuayi is not a part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans at Chelsea moving forwards and has once again been linked with a departure, having spent the last few seasons out on loan.
He had been linked with a move to Goodison Park but according to Tavolieri that has now fallen away as there is a belief that the striker would not be a good fit for Frank Lampard’s tactics.
Instead, Leeds and Newcastle are now seen as ‘other solutions’ for the Belgian striker before the end of the window.
Both clubs are in search of a new striker, with Callum Wilson and Patrick Bamford both struggling to maintain their fitness.
Whether Batshuayi is interested in a move to Leeds or Newcastle isn’t mentioned, but they are presented as potential destinations for him.
They’d have to reach an agreement with Chelsea for the 28-year-old, who are ‘leaning towards a definitive sale’ at this point in time.
