Leeds United are battling with Nice for Nantes forward Moses Simon as they plan for life without Raphinha.
That’s according to RMC Sport, who say the Nigerian is ‘attracting interest’ after his performances last season, and Leeds are one of those who are keen.
Leeds look set to sell Raphinha in the coming days, with Chelsea having entered the fray for the Brazilian’s signature with a bid that satisfies everyone involved at Elland Road.
That’ll leave a huge hole in their attack that they’ll need to fill, and several forwards have been linked, with Simon the latest name to be added to that list.
He enjoyed a ‘fine season’ in France last year and is attracting interest as a result, with Nantes chief Franck Kita admitting the player will be sold ‘if there are very interesting offers’ on the table for him.
Leeds are one of those who are ‘keeping a close eye’ on the player, although he has already agreed a deal with Nice.
That means Victor Orta and co may need to move quickly to get their man, something they’ll be able to do once they have the money from Raphinha’s sale in their back pocket.
