Daniel James left Manchester United and completed a switch to Leeds United on deadline day of the summer transfer window.
The Elland Road side were in the market looking for a winger and for months, they were credited with an interest in Club Brugge star Noa Lang.
Having initially joined the Belgian champions on loan from Ajax last summer, the 22-year-old’s stay transfer made permanent after he managed 17 goals and 11 assists across all competitions in the previous campaign.
The Club Brugge star’s situation was discussed during Voetbal International’s VI Live show on Tuesday and it’s relayed by Voetbal Primeur.
Having contacted the Dutchman’s camp, VI found out the player wants to continue with the Jupiler Pro League side, at least until the end of the season.
When discussion potential suitors for Lang, Marcelo Bielsa’s side get a mention and it’s said Leeds United ‘seemed the most concrete for a long time’.
There’s no mention whether or not the Premier League side made an offer for Lang, but the report does suggest the opportunity to sign Daniel James could have changed their plans, with a switch in targets late on.
