As was reported a while back, Leeds United are interested in Arnaud Kalimuendo.
Newcastle United were said to have joined the chase of late, but it’s the Elland Road side who continue to ‘push’ for the player’s signing
That’s according to L’Equipe, who explain Leeds are ‘intensifying negotiations’ with Paris Saint-Germain for the French striker’s transfer.
As things stand, the talks ‘continue around the basis of a €25m deal’, with €22m of those being up front, and the remaining €3m being bonuses.
The clubs are still in talks, and ‘once the agreement found, Leeds will need to convince the player’.
That’s because while Kalimuendo isn’t completely against a move to Elland Road, he is also aware that Inter are looking at him.
Paris Saint-Germain and the Serie A side are currently negotiating a deal for Milan Skriniar, which also opened the door for the Italians to have a chat about Kalimuendo.
At this point, it’s down to Leeds and Jesse Marsch to get the 20-year-old on board.
