Ezgjan Alioski’s exit forced Leeds United to complete Junior Firpo’s signing in the current window.
The Whites took the Dominican from Barcelona and Junior Firpo, along with Leif Davis, are currently the two left-backs at Elland Road.
Davis, who was restricted to only two league appearances, spent majority of the time on the bench last season.
Prior to signing the former Real Betis man, Marcelo Bielsa’s side were credited with an interest in SD Huesca defender Javi Galán.
The Premier League side are still looking at the 26-year-old if a report from Friday’s edition of AS is to be believed. It’s claimed the English club and Sevilla have ‘knocked on his door’.
Huesca were relegated from La Liga last campaign and the newspaper states Galán, who is on the ‘exit ramp’, has his ‘hours numbered’ at the Spanish club.
The player’s contract runs down in 2022 and following Huesca’s drop to the second division, the fullback’s release clause is now set at €4m.
AS state his impressive performances during the previous season and the new asking price have made him ‘one of the bargains of the summer’.
If Leeds end up taking Galán, then Davis could move elsewhere before the window closes.
