Leander Dendoncker today missed Anderlecht’s second training session, having taken part in the morning workout.
Belgium’s DH reported that Dendoncker had left the Anderlecht headquarters for an unknown destination, and obviously a potential West Ham move was mentioned.
Earlier on Wednesday it was reported the midfielder was waiting for West Ham to make a good offer for him, and subsequently allow him to make a dream move to the Premier League.
Then came claims of West Ham making an offer, and that offer subsequently being rejected by Anderlecht.
Now DH report Dendoncker has returned to the Anderlecht complex accompanied by his father. It’s unlikely the pair of them have gone to use the gym, and it’s natural to make the assumption it’s transfer related.
Perhaps the pair are waiting for a fresh West Ham offer, and hoping to pressure Anderlecht into accepting whatever comes their way.
It very much looks like there’s something going on here, with West Ham or someone else, or at the very least that Dendoncker hopes there is. If it was up to the player he’d probably already be here now, but Anderlecht and a buying club need to come to an agreement, and quickly.
