A couple of days ago, Spanish daily El Confidencial reported Cesc Fabregas may be leaving Chelsea before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

The Spaniard has been overlooked by Antonio Conte in Chelsea’s first three games, and has managed just 12 minutes of football in the Premier League.

According to a latest report on El Confidencial, Fabregas was offered to Real Madrid by ‘the leadership of Chelsea’ a few weeks ago.

It’s reported Antonio Conte was keen on signing Alvaro Morata, but Real Madrid asked for Eden Hazard in any possible deal. The Blues instead offered Fabregas, but the La Liga giants immediately rejected the offer.

Zidane feels he already has a number of midfielders in his squad, and it’d be a bit difficult to accommodate another.

El Confidencial say Chelsea are open to the sale of Fabregas, and it’d require a lot of effort from the player to regain his status in the squad should he decide to stay.
