This weekend Borussia Dortmund announced that Andre Schurrle is in negotiations to leave the club.
The former Chelsea player was pulled out of a friendly match against Manchester City, which BVB won 1-0, and the talks were, perhaps strangely, announced by the German club via Twitter.
Crystal Palace have been the most mentioned potential destination and were the club thrown in by Bild today, who claim the player’s destination is England. The German newspaper also said another unnamed club are keen and their reporting made it sound like that would be a Premier League side.
Over in Italy, Il Tempo believe Lazio are in the fight.
The Italian club are interested, and once again Crystal Palace get a mention, as being in talks. An estimated price for Schurrle is put at €20m which may seem a little high given the struggles he’s had imposing himself at Dortmund.
BVB had big hopes for Schurrle when he arrived he’s been unable to live up to it, Bild believe the footballer has a preference for a return to English football.
