Lazio are to step up their pursuit of Chievo Verona defender Fabrizio Cacciatore, according to claims in Italy. The Serie A side were linked with the full back in the last transfer window at the same time Leeds United were showing a keen interest.
TMW have revealed this morning Lazio are to make a new approach for Cacciatore after failing to land the player in January. Lazio are looking to bring in a full back before the transfer deadline, and the Italian could be the ideal candidate as he can play on the right and the left.
Despite Lazio’s desire to sign Cacciatore they will find if difficult to convince Chievo to allow him to head to Rome given his importance to the Flying Donkeys. It’s also been claimed fellow Serie A side Fiorentina are showing an interest in the 29-year-old.
During the last window Cacciatore was linked with a move to Leeds United after Cellino travelled to Italy to get a lowdown on the defender.
This was then followed by one of Leeds United’s scouts attending the game between Chievo and Lazio that same month.
