Lazio’s interest for the Stoke City star Xherdan Shaqiri is starting to spread through the Italian media.
On Wednesday, when Liverpool’s chase for the player was the big topic, we covered a story from Corriere Dello Sport which claimed the Serie A side also have him as an option.
Now it’s website Calcio Mercato who brings an exclusive about the case, saying that although the Reds are in the race, Lazio are still a ‘viable option’.
According to the report, the Italian club have already opened talks for the player. It’s said that he could cost a €15m fee, and currently earns €3m per season at Stoke City.
As we’ve pointed out before, Shaqiri could have a major role at Lazio once their main star Felipe Anderson seems to be on his way to
West Ham. However, Liverpool can still offer a Champions League spot, which is always a great attraction.
