On Thursday we brought claims from France that Watford are closing in on a deal to sign Loic Remy from Las Palmas.
The move would initially be on a loan basis, with Watford having the right to sign Remy at the end of the season.
Then we covered Marca’s claims, which didn’t mention Watford at all, but stated Remy is holding meetings today with his current club to try and sort a transfer out.
Now there’s another angle from AS, and there’s both good and bad news from the Spanish newspaper.
Starting with the positive, AS back up that Watford are actually interested in the player, one of the ‘main suitors’ outside of Spain, the other being Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Now for the negative, AS believe Remy has given the go-ahead for a move to Getafe and the Spanish club are ‘well positioned’ to complete the deal.
Talks are continuing and the player’s agent is discussing personal terms with Getafe. Remy will be well aware he can earn more in the Premier League, so if Getafe don’t offer enough this one could quickly spring to life.
