Things aren’t getting any better for Marcelo Brozovic.

Last week, we brought you new from Italy that the Croatian midfielder was having a bit of a public dispute with Inter Milan regarding him being left out of the squad for the Juventus game, and now the new owners have spoken about the situation.

The 23-year-old midfielder had posted a picture of himself on Instagram explaining he had been left at home for no apparent reason, while the club had explained he wasn’t with the team due to ‘behavioural reasons’.

Well, Gazzetta dello Sport report that Frank de Boer has added another layer of disapproval by saying: “He needs to accept his role at the club and when he works hard, he’ll be recalled. We cannot accept certain attitudes.”

We said last time that such a public dispute over something that can be easily rectified could damage the player’s reputation if he ends up looking for a new club, and this certainly hasn’t helped.

If they haven’t already, potential suitors will undoubtedly take note of this ‘working hard’ claim, meaning they may start looking elsewhere.

Just to recap, the former Dinamo Zagreb starlet was a prominent target for Chelsea, as well as many other Premier League clubs, towards the end of the transfer window.
