Towards the end of 2022, multiple reports coming out of Italy discussed Everton’s interest in Empoli’s Fabiano Parisi.
On December 11th, Torino Granata reported the Toffees and Torino are among the 22-year-old’s suitors.
Later that month, Pianeta Empoli explained Everton seem to be serious about signing the left-back in the winter market but no deal took shape.
The Italian is still at the Serie A side where he has a deal until 2025. There is a possibility for the defender to change clubs in the next window, and with Sean Dyche’s side among his admirers, they stand a chance to secure his services after this season.
Responding to that, Giuffredi said: “Yes, Parisi is ready for a great team. This will be his last season with Empoli. We could have already left last summer, his career in the club is over and it is right that the player should aspire to something more important. Juventus? It’s premature to talk about teams now.”
Vitaliy Mykolenko is currently the first choice left-back, with Rúben Vinagre providing him cover.
The latter, who has made two substitute appearances in the league, is on loan from Sporting and Everton have an option to make his stay permanent in the summer.
If the Merseyside club decide against retaining Vinagre, they could consider signing Parisi in the next window.
