The name Adalberto Peñaranda might not mean much to Watford fans for now, but the Premier League club are hoping it will in years to come.

Bought from Udinese for just over £9m in February, the 19-year-old was then sent to Granada on loan to finish the season, before being temporarily shipped back to Udinese for the 2016-17 campaign, knowing he wouldn’t get game time under Walter Mazzarri this year.

Tussling with a few injuries since Serie A started, the young forward has only made seven appearances so far, of which only one has been a start, and Malaga are looking to take advantage of the situation, according to Fichajes.com.

The Spanish website claim that, according to their information, the La Liga side are looking at the Venezuela international to bolster their attacking options for the remainder of the season, and would be looking to get a loan deal sorted in January.

While thy do mention he is currently contracted to Udinese, they seem to completely omit the fact he is there on loan, meaning the Italian side would have to agree to terminate his current deal with them before Watford could send him to Spain.

A return to Spain could be good for him, considering he knows the league, having scored five goals in 23 appearances for Granada, but whether or not he wants to leave Udinese remains to be seen.

More importantly, the Italian side might not want to see him leave early, with a lot of the season still to be played.
