According to a claim in the Spanish media, Sevilla are showing an interest in Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen.

The 23 year old spent last season on loan with Fenerbahce, but injury reduced his appearances for the Turkish club. Janssen spent four months on the sidelines with a foot injury.

Estadio Deportivo report Sevilla sporting director Oscar Arias is looking to bolster the Spanish side’s attacking options in this transfer window and ‘battering ram’ Janssen is on the shortlist.

The Netherlands international joined Tottenham in 2016, but failed to make a real impact in his debut season in the Premier League.

Subsequently he was loaned out to Fenerbahce last summer, and there’s still a possibility the Istanbul club could look to get another agreement with Tottenham to retain his services.

It seems Janssen isn’t in the long term plans of Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and it’s likely the Dutchman would struggle to get games for the London club next season. Estadio Deportivo say Spurs are considering a permanent exit.
