Aksam report Galatasaray are still looking to sign Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph.

In recent weeks we’ve covered claims from the Turkish press that Galatasaray are interested in signing the 29 year old, as they’re planning to build a squad to compete in the Champions League next season.

Galatasaray have already lost Stoke City’s Badou Ndiaye after the end of his loan spell and with Fernando also expected to sign for Sevilla, Aksam say signing Delph has become a priority for the Turkish champions.

It’s reported the Super Lig club are moving closer to signing the England international and Aksam also claim that after the arrival of Rodri at the Etihad, Delph is unlikely to stay at Manchester City.

Galatasaray will reportedly make another attempt to land the player in the coming days and the Turkish club’s officials are hopeful of getting the player.

The assumption in Turkey is that Gala would be able to offer Delph a regular central midfield spot, something he hasn’t been getting in recent seasons with the Premier League champions.

Delph is under contract with Manchester City until June 2020.
