The future of Everton youngster David Henen is once again in the European media. German newspaper Bild claim that highflying Red Bull Leipzig are keen to sign the Belgian during the winter transfer window.

RB Leipzig are said to be ‘hot’ on the signing and Bild state: ‘The striker is considered a giant talent, is fast and aggressive. And wants to leave the club in the winter despite having a contract until 2018.’

Henen isn’t getting games at Everton and Bild reckon that’s because Ronald Koeman believes the youngster has a ‘lack of physical robustness’, so at this stage wouldn’t suit the Premier League.

The German club’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick is on the case, and some kind of contact has already been made, according to the German newspaper.

At the start of November there were claims in the Belgian media that Henen was likely to leave in the January window, with several clubs interested. Those claims continued over the next week or so, prompting the Everton player to speak out on Twitter.

After 12 games, RB Leipzig are top of the Bundesliga, three points clear of Bayern Munich.
