Ísak Bergmann Jóhannesson has revealed he never considered Manchester United or any other top clubs across Europe as an option in the summer.
IFK Norrköping chief scout Stig Torbjörnsen admitted in October 2020 that Liverpool were among the 10 clubs to have shown interest in the 18-year-old.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were also named as a suitor, but he ended up leaving Norrköping for FC Copenhagen. His decision to snub the likes of Wolves wasn’t received well in Sweden.
Tipsbladet has now come up with a report explaining the midfielder cost around 37.5m Danish kroner [€5m] for the Danish side.
These claims are also been reported by Swedish outlet Expressen, who further add Norrköping will receive 30 percent from Ísak Bergmann Jóhannesson’s future sale.
It’s not made clear whether or not the Red Devils looked at the possibility of signing the teenager in the summer, but the player has made it clear he never considered joining Manchester United or Juvenuts.
“There were many rumors. But I knew right away that I would not move to Manchester United, Juventus or any other big club. I would like to be there in ten years, when I am 28 and when I have reached my peak,” Ísak Bergmann Jóhannesson told Sportbladet, as relayed by Tipsbladet.
