Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing the Valencia youngster Fran Navarro.
The striker, who’s part of Spain’s U-19 team, has been followed closely by the Reds, according to Valencia regional sport newspaper Super Deporte.
Navarro is still to make his official debut for Valencia. He only plays for the B team, for which he’s already scored two goals in 154 minutes in the Spanish league system this season.
For Spain, he was the champion in a friendly tournament a couple of weeks ago. Navarro scored one of the goals which gave them the title after a 2-0 win against France. Liverpool reportedly were impressed by that and should keep an eye on him from now on.
But Liverpool are said not to be alone in the race. Super Deporte claims Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the player, and they are regularly informed of Navarro’s development.
The youngster has a contract until 2019 and it’s still unknown how hard Valencia would fight to keep him. Klopp has a great reputation of bringing young talents through, which can only help Liverpool when targeting players like Navarro.
