Jurgen Klopp could prove vital to RB Leipzig’s intentions to sign Jobe Bellingham, thanks to his close ties to family after trying to sign Jude for Liverpool.

That’s according to SportBILD, who report that Klopp has a close relationship with the Bellingham family after coming close to signing Jude Bellingham for Liverpool before his move to Real Madrid.

Klopp is currently Global Sports Director for Red Bull and will be spending this summer working closely with the team at RB Leipzig to try and get the German side back on track.

They’re implementing a new contract structure that will see players earn 30% less if they don’t meet the club’s expectations. New players will have to perform to earn their full salaries, while the club will only hand out bonuses for a top four finish.

This new system will only apply to new signing or contract renewals and one such new arrival could be Jobe Bellingham.

Leipzig are keen to sign him from Sunderland and could use Klopp’s influence to help them beat fierce competition to the midfielder.

Klopp has a close relationship with the Bellingham family after Liverpool competed with Real Madrid for Jude Bellingham’s signature in 2023.

It seems those relationships have been maintained and now that could help Leipzig get the younger Bellingham brother this summer.
