Liverpool are in the picture to sign Sparta Prague’s Adam Hložek in the summer.

The 19-year-old came up through the Czech club’s academy before he was promoted to their first team in 2018. He has been deployed in all three attacking positions since then.

Hložek has been mainly used as a centre forward and a second striker this term, managing eight goals and 12 assists in all competitions.

Over the past few weeks, the youngster has been linked to Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. The two Bundesliga sides are joined by the Reds as Jeunes Footeux explain the attacker has ‘caught the eye of Jürgen Klopp’.

Divock Origi’s current deal at Anfield expires in June. The situation with the Belgian and the ‘steady decline’ of Roberto Firmino could force the Merseyside club to look for a new striker in the summer.

Therefore, Liverpool are ‘closely following’ Hložek’s performances for Sparta Prague. The Czech Republic international’s contract expires in 2024 and he has a valuation of €19m.

However, Jeunes Footeux state a fee more than that would be needed to convince Sparta Prague to let go of their player. There’s belief a fee of around €20m should help Liverpool or any other interested party to sign Hložek in the summer.
