Over the past few days, reports coming out of Spain have made clear Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos is not included Zinedine Zidane’s plans for next season.

Marca now states the midfielder is highly unlikely to be playing for Los Blancos, at least for the 2018/19 campaign.

Liverpool are said to be one of the clubs who hope to have the 22-year-old for the new campaign and they are attentive to the recent developments around the former Real Betis man.

The Reds have moved discretely for the Euro U21 winner as their interest in Ceballos has grown in recent weeks.

Marca states the Champions League winners are not interested in a loan deal as they want to sign him on a permanent deal, which has been directly endorsed by Jurgen Klopp.

The former Borussia Dortmund manager believes the Spaniard has the dynamism he was looking for from Naby Keita, which Marca said he hasn’t yet seen.

Marca further go on to suggest that even though Ceballos has received offers from Germany and Italy, a move to England fits the player’s plans.

Liverpool aren’t thought to be leading the race, with Tottenham and Arsenal pushed far stronger this week, because of their wish for a straight transfer with no buyback clause.
