Sevilla are reportedly confident they could sign Luis Alberto back from Liverpool. According to Radio Sevilla (via AS), the player is running out of contract next summer and could be returning to his old club before that.
Alberto signed for Liverpool from Sevilla in 2013 for €8m. After an unimpressive season at Anfield, he spent the last two years on loan at Malaga and Deportivo La Coruña, and he seemed to find his best football back in La Liga.
Now Jorge Sampaoli’s side would be interested in having the 23-year-old at the club. Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants Alberto to make the pre-season with Liverpool, but the claims from Spain say a deal could very possibly happen.
Alberto finished the last season with six goals and eight assists in 31 games for Real Sociedad. He already expressed his desire to work under Klopp, but the decision to let him go or not is now in the manager’s hands.
